Dealing With The Fall Archery Blues

So we are a few weeks into winter for the kiddos. I’m shooting lots of archery and teaching lessons weekly. But the subtle excitement of indoor archery season is on my mind. The excitement of walking into stand first morning is slowly creeping up on me and it gets me pumped just the same!

But while I want next season to get here tomorrow, I know there are multiple things I could… should… am doing in the off season.

1. I am shooting. I am utilizing the off season to test broadheads, new arrows, and wrap my mind around what equipment I want in my early season cache.

2. I’m shooting as much as possible under pressure. Online tournaments as well as local, state, and national tournaments.

3. Get back on the crossfit program and getting my fitness back up to snuff. Unlike Cam Hanes I don’t work out during archery season because it takes away from family time and is replaced by treestand and whitetail time.
